HYDERABAD, Nov 25: The District Nazim, Hyderabad, Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, on Saturday presided over a meeting in his office regarding fixation of prices of essential commodities and enforcement of Ehtram-e-Ramazan ordinance.

The meeting discussed in detail the means to control prices of essential commodities and decided that under the orders of the government the DCO/controller general of prices would issue price lists on Nov 26. Besides, the taluka Nazmeen and administration would ensure the implementation of orders along with the judicial magistrates and police.

It was also decided that Ehtram-e-Ramazan ordinance would be implemented strictly by the administration and law enforcing agencies. Besides, no special permit would be issued to any person to run any hotel, except in accordance with the ordinance.

The meeting was attended by Lt Col Afzal Cheema, District Coordination Officer, Hyderabad; Haji Moinuddin Shaikh, Nazim, Latifabad Taluka; Abdul Jabbar Khan, Nazim, Qasimabad Taluka; M. Tariq Ayub, Nazim, Hyderabad taluka city; Noor M Shoro, Executive District Officer (community development); Shams Jafrani, EDO (agriculture); and officers of the Market Committee.

UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS: The Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam authorities on the request of the students of the university and those of the Agriculture College Dokri have extended the last date for payment of admission fee upto Dec 8.

The candidates have been advised to obtain admission forms from the designated branches of the Habib Bank Limited.

LLB: The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, has announced the results of the LLB, Part-I, annual examinations 2000.

SPSC: The Sindh Public Service Commission, Hyderabad, has announced the names of eligible candidates who were interviewed for various posts in the Health Department, Government of Sindh, and found the following candidates suitable: Dr Malik Hussain (rural) for the post of urologist BPS-18, Dr Ashok Kumar (rural) for the post of senior registrar ophthalmology BPS-18, and Dr Abdul Rasheed (rural) for the post of senior registrar urology BPS-18.
