KARACHI, Jan 23: The Nazim of Karachi, Naimatullah Khan, accompanied by a number of city council members, visited Jauharabad and Azizabad police stations late on Wednesday where the Nazim of Union Council-7, Gulberg Town, Faizanullah and two other councillors have been lodged in connection with the killing of two MQM activists on Jan 15.

Naimatullah Khan met the detainees and assured them of all possible support from the city government. He expressed the hope that culprits of the murders would be apprehended soon and that the innocent detainees would be released.

He also held out the assurance that no injustice would be done to the detained elected representatives.—PPI
