DADU, Jan 22: Chandio tribesmen held a demonstration outside the press club on Wednesday to protest against the SHO, Mahi Otho police station.
They were led by Gul Hassan Qambrani and Aslam Chandio.
Addressing the demonstrators, Mr Gul said that he had purchased a plot in Gharibabad Mohalla about six months back but the SHO, Mahi Otho police station, Sub-inspector Jam Khan Khokhar, had forcibly occupied his plot, measuring two acres, and had constructed shops and bungalows on it with the help of some other police officials.
He said that he had complained to senior officials of the police department against the police official concerned but no one came to his help.
He said that the SHO had registered a false case against six of his relatives and had threatened them of dire consequences.
WARRANTS ISSUED: The second additional session judge, Dadu, on Wednesday issued non-bailable warrants of arrest against the Nazim of Union Council Phulji Station, Qazi Imtiaz, his brother, Qazi Ali Haider, and Gul Qureshi, the former in charge of the Phulji police station, in a kidnapping case.
The additional sessions judge directed the DPO, Dadu, to arrest all the three accused and produce them in court on Jan 29.
Constable Ramzan Mastoi was kidnapped and detained for 13 days by the Union Council Nazim.
On the complaint of Mohammad Bux, a kidnapping case was registered with the Rukkan police against the Union Council Nazim and two others.
