SANGHAR, Jan 22: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation would establish model schools all over the country with the help of some industrialists.

This was stated by the federal minister for labour, manpower and overseas Pakistanis, Abdul Sattar Lalika, on Tuesday at the concluding day of the 4-day free eye camp, organised by the OPF at the Civil hospital, Sanghar.

It was the policy of the government to provide basic facilities like health and education to the people in rural areas and peripheries, the minister said.

He also announced Rs2.5 million grant for establishment of the OPF Model School in the city.

Abdul Karim Sarewal and Taluka Nazim, Abdul Waheed Nizamani, donated 16 and 2 acres of land, respectively, for the school or hospital.

He promised that employment exchanges would be opened at the district headquarters.

Rashid M. Ansari, Managing Director, OPF, said that during the 4-day camp about 2,000 eye patients were examined at the OPD and 205 patients were operated, free of cost, and lenses were also provided to them.

MNA, Haji Khuda Bux Nizamani, MPAs, Pir Bux Junejo, Dr Bhag Chand, and provincial minister for law and parliamentary affairs, Choudhry Iftikhar, were also present on the occasion.
