HYDERABAD, Jan 22: The Government Secondary Teachers Association Action Committee, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions and Nawabshah district, has threatened to evolve a future course of action at its meeting scheduled to be held on Jan 25 if the teachers were not paid remuneration for last year’s examination duties.

This was decided at a meeting of the action committee held on Tuesday.

Sufar Memon presided over the meeting.

The meeting regretted that while the current year’s examinations were round the corner, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, had failed to even pay last year’s remunerations.

The meeting severely criticized the Board for committing irregularities in the examination duties of teachers and warned that if it did not change its attitude, the secondary teachers would be forced to launch a protest movement against it.

The meeting was attended by members of the action committee from the defunct Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions and Nawabshah district.

INTENSIVE COURSE: A 15-day “Intensive Course” for postgraduate candidates started at the Liaquat Medical University on Tuesday.

The course is being held under the aegis of the department of surgery for FRCS part-II, FCPS part-II, and Master of Surgery.

At least 40 candidates are attending the course.
