HYDERABAD, Feb 25: Two girls and one woman were killed and two others injured when a Mazda truck carrying passengers rammed into another truck loaded with potatoes on the Jhimpir-Nooriabad link road near Nooriabad city early on Monday.

Motorway police DSP Ahsan Raza said a Mazda truck carrying around 20 to 25 passengers had rammed into a truck at 4am. Five persons, including the driver of the Mazda truck, who were sitting on front seats of the Mazda truck received injuries. Four of them were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) Hyderabad and driver Shahid was shifted to a private hospital in Karachi.

The dead were identified as one-year-old Alishba, daughter of Waqar Khaskheli, 10-year-old Sofia, daughter of Sattar Khaskheli, and 50-year-old Shahnaz, wife of Sattar.

The DSP said some people  belonged to Golimar in Karachi.

ASI of Nooriabad police station Mushtaque Ahmed said the passengers were returning to Karachi after attending a wedding ceremony in Dadu. They all were relatives.
