RAWALPINDI, Feb24: A woman tried to commit suicide here on Sunday evening.

Khurshida Bibi, 45, a resident of Tench Bhatta, climbed a tree in Roomi Park and threatened to jump. On seeing the woman, security personnel on duty at the army officers’ colony called Rescue 1122.

A crowd gathered but they were kept away by the security personnel. Later the rescue staff brought her down.
