MIRPURKHAS, Feb 22: After a number of years there was a heavy hailstorm on Friday evening in most of Mirpurkhas district and parts of Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze and Sanghar districts.

Many pedestrians suffered minor injuries as hail pelted the streets for about 20 minutes after half an hour of torrential rain in Mirwah, Sindhri, Jhuddo and Kot Ghulam Mohammad talukas in Mirpurkhas district, along with Hingorno taluka in Sanghar district, and Digri taluka in Khairpur district.

Roads and streets were submerged by water as electricity supply stopped in many areas for three hours.
