LAHORE, Feb 18: Widespread changes are on the cards as the national selection committee meets on Wednesday to select the Pakistan squad for their T20 and One-day International series against South Africa next month.

Pakistan have already lost the three-Test series after South Africa took an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the second Test at Cape Town by four wickets on Sunday.

The third Test starts on Feb 22 with the first of two T20’s being played on March 1. The five-match ODI series starts from March 10.

A number of players are on the radar of the selection committee, headed by Iqbal Qasim, with pacers Wahab Riaz and Aizaz Cheema along with the Akmal brothers — Kamran and Umar — likely to be called up.

The performance of wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmad was below par in the Tests and Kamran could be recalled, sources told Dawn.

Meanwhile, Faisal Iqbal, Ehsan Adil, Haris Sohail, Tanvir Ahmed and Sarfraz are likely to return at the end of the Test series on Feb 26.
