ATTOCK, Feb 17: Most of the office-bearers of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf have been elected unopposed in the district of Attock, it has been learnt.

According to the PTI election commission here, Rana Liaquat Ali Khan was elected unopposed general secretary and Mohammad Zubair Tanoli and Mohammad Fazal Khan were elected as senior vice-presidents of the PTI in the district.

Rafique Niazi Advocate, the chairman of the PTI district election commission, said no other candidate filed nomination papers for the seats.

However, there would be a contest for the post of president as after withdrawal of Malik Javed Ahmad's nomination  three candidates    - Sardar Mumtaz Khan, Waheed Murad  and Rana Liaquat Ali Khan - are in the run.

It may be noted that the newly-elected district general secretary of PTI Rana Liaquat is also contesting for the slot of the president.

Meanwhile, presidents and senior vice-presidents of five tehsils and general secretaries of four tehsils were also elected unopposed.
