ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has taken President Asif Ali Zardari’s into confidence regarding the letter on the formation of interim government in the country.

The said letter would be sent to opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar and seeks his opinion regarding the caretaker setup in Pakistan.

In a meeting with Zardari at Bilawal House on Thursday, the prime minister sought approval for the letter.

According to sources, in the letter Ashraf has sought Nisar’s opinion regarding the interim government and said that the assemblies were on their way to completing their tenure.

Ashraf maintained that for strengthening democracy, transparent elections are important and in this regard an unbiased caretaker government is a must, sources added.

The sources further said that a meeting between prime minister and the opposition leader is expected during the current month in Islamabad.
