LARKANA, Feb 12: A town officer for finance in Kandhkot town, identified as Abdul Hakeem Panhyar, has been missing since Monday evening, said the police.

Larkana SSP Abrar Hussain said that a car of ‘Swift’ model (AVV-128) had been found parked near Jiles Bazaar, within the remit Hyderi police station. SSP Hussain said that the missing officer’s mobile had last been traced at round 8:30 pm in Madeji area near Shikarpur.

Talking to Dawn, Aftab Ahmed Panhyar, the officer’s nephew, said that he had last talked to his uncle at around 6:30 pm on Monday evening when he had been on his way home from Larkana where he had been staying for two days.

Mr Ahmed said that his uncle had gone to Larkana to consult his lawyers regarding a high court case.
