HYDERABAD, Feb 11: Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court Mushir Alam has said that every citizen should help the judiciary administer justice.

He lauded the government for releasing funds for the construction of a judicial complex in Matiari and praised a local politician, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah Jamote, for donating a piece of plot for the complex, said a press release issued by the information department on Monday.

Speaking at a ceremony in Matiari, the chief justice said that Mr Jamote had set a good example and hoped that other politicians and the well-to-do would follow his example.

He said the judicial complex was an old demand of Matiari lawyers and pointed out if there were any flaws in the complex to which district bar had drawn attention they must be rectified.

He expressed the hope that local youths would pursue the study of law and join the profession to end a shortage of lawyers in the district.

Earlier, the chief justice visited the under-construction building and sowed a plant. He was briefed by the chief engineer of buildings and was informed that the building cost Rs140 million and would be completed this year.
