PESHAWAR, Jan 19: The board of directors of Frontier Education Foundation on the other day approved the establishment of five new degree colleges and decided to start postgraduate classes in the existing FEF colleges in the current year.

The decisions were taken at the 13th meeting of FEF BoD, presided over by Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah.

Out of the proposed five new colleges, four meant for girls would be opened in Swat, Haripur, Swabi and Lakki Marwat, and a boys degree college is being established in Dargai, Malakand.

The meeting was attended by senior minister Sirajul Haq, Minister for Education Maulana Fazal Ali, Secretary Education Tariq Jamil, NWFP University of Engineering and Technology Vice Chancellor Sardar Khan, President of Pakistan Medical Association Umer Ayub as well as principals of Amina Degree College, Hayatabad, and Khyber Medical College, Peshawar.

The participants agreed that initially the postgraduate classes would only be restricted to English, physics and economic subjects and future expansion would be allowed on the basis of their success.
