SWABI, Feb 4: Speakers at conference on ‘materials technology’ (Mattech) advocated for enhancing interaction between industry and academia to overcome serious problems like energy crisis. The three-day conference was organised by the American Society of Materials, GIK Institute’s student chapter. Academic staff, experts and students participated and expressed their views in the moot.

In addition, research projects and papers about materials science engineering were also presented in the conference. Shahbaz Khan, director production of MOL company, was chief guest in the prize distribution ceremony held on Monday. He gave away prizes and shields to outstanding participants.—Correspondent
