I WOULD like to invite the attention of the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Pakistani political leaders towards the pathetic condition of Pakistanis stranded in Bangladesh since 1971.

Many efforts were made for their repatriation to Pakistan but for reasons best known to the authorities of Pakistan they could not be repatriated.

The question of citizenship and other allied legal matters are connected with this human tragedy that has lingered on for more than 40 years.

They have remained faithful to their country even in a harsh and hostile environment.

It is time these unfortunate people were brought back to their homeland without any further delay.
