LADHA, Feb 1: Six militants were killed on Friday when a mortar shell fired by Nato and Afghan troops from across the border hit a bunker in Zeba Ghar area near Angoor Adda, some 60km from Wana in South Waziristan.
Sources said 30 shells had been fired from Macha Dad camp across the border in Afghanistan. One shell hit the bunker, killing six militants and injuring three. They belonged to Maulvi Nazir group.
The shelling was in retaliation for a missile fired by militants from the Zeba Ghar area to target Macha Dad camp jointly manned by Nato and Afghan forces, they said.
