TAXILA, Jan 31: A five member defence delegation from Afghanistan, on Thursday, visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah. The purpose of the visit was to expand relations in the defence sector.

The delegation was led by Defence Minister of Afghanistan General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi. The delegation visited various arms and ammunition production units of POF and appreciated the state of the art products, especially weapons and ammunition.

Earlier upon arrival, the delegation was received by POF chief Lt General Mohammad Ahsan Mahmood.

While briefing the delegates, the POF chief said that POF was the premier defence organisation of the country, which was not only meeting defence requirements of the armed forces of Pakistan but also exporting its products to over 30 countries around the globe.

On the other hand, POF officials said that the Afghan Defence Minister was in Pakistan on a five-day official visit to boost defence co-operation between the two countries.
