HYDERABAD, Jan 17: A large number of Wapda employees, under the banner of the Paigham Union, Sindh chapter, held a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Friday against the anti-workers’ policies of the Wapda administration.

Addressing the rally, the secretary general of the union, Malik Mohammad Yousuf, said that due to the untiring efforts of workers, the Wapda had generated Rs186 billion revenue this year but the workers were being deprived of their basic facilities.

He said the benefits allowed in the past had been taken away.
