PO’s kin injure two cops

SAHIWAL, Nov 24: Two relatives of a proclaimed offender allegedly attacked a police party and injured two constables in Chak No 30/14-L on Saturday.

A Kamalia Saddar police team raided the village to arrest proclaimed offender Muhammad Yar alias Yaroo. His relatives, identified as Abdul Sattar Mumtaz and Naziran Bibi, attacked the police party, headed by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Akram, and injured constables Ghulam Shabbir and Muhammad Aslam.

The sub-inspector managed to ran away from the scene.

Kassowal police registered the case and started search for the accused.

DACOITIES: A house was looted while a tractor and a car was taken away at gunpoint on Friday night.

Six armed men entered the house of Abdul Rehman in Chak No 56/5-L by scaling the wall. They snatched keys from the women at gunpoint, collected Rs200,000 worth gold ornaments and Rs53,000.

In the other incident, four armed men took away tractor (LXH 3385) from Abdul Haq and Nisar Ahmed at gunpoint.

A car (LOX 9269), owned by Muhammad Sarwar, was stolen from Deepalpur Bazaar of the city.

Police concerned registered separate cases.
