ISLAMABAD, Jan 16: An official spokesman on Thursday denied the allegations the bye-elections rigging in Sindh.

Commenting on a statement of the People’s Party Parliamentarians, published in a section of the Press on Thursday, the spokesman said that the accusations of the administration’s collusion with the so-called king’s party was entirely baseless and unfounded.

The Oct 10 polls affirmed that the government had always remained neutral in the entire election process right from the beginning, he said.

The spokesman said that people were the best judges of their destiny, and the government had always extended full honour and regard to the verdict of the masses. The transition of power from a military government to a civilian set-up also proved the sincerity of the government, he added.—APP
