THIS is apropos of Syed Ovais Akhtar’s letter ‘Vulnerable politicians’ (Jan 14). It was a delight to learn that there are still some people who can think rationally.

Some in the media have a penchant for focusing on non-issues like character assassination and diverting the attention of the public from problems and their solutions.

This stems from their lack of experience and exposure to problem-solving situations in organisations. We are surrounded by mediocrity of the people in power either in the media or in politics. May Allah help us.
