Petrol prices up, kerosene’s down

KARACHI, Jan 15: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee on Wednesday announced increase/decrease in various oil products, effective from Jan 16.

The announcement said the prices of MS 87 RON (petrol) has been increased from Rs 32.50 to Rs 32.64 and HOBC from Rs 36.41 to Rs 36.55. However, the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil have been reduced.

The committee said the revised rates had been based on the average international product prices and applicable government levies. The consumer prices for various products had been calculated in accordance with the approved mechanism.
