QUETTA, Jan 11: Two people were killed and three others injured in an attack on Nato containers’ terminal in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta on Friday night.

According to police sources, assailants fired rockets and guns at the terminal on the outskirts of the city.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Hamid Shakeel told Dawn that at least eight containers were gutted along with supplies they were carrying to Afghanistan for Nato forces. Two rockets exploded on the terminal premises and eight containers caught fire.

The injured were taken to the BMC hospital. The fire was brought under control after an hour.

SHOT DEAD: Two people were killed when gunmen opened fire at them in Killi Kamalo area of the city.

The two worked at a bread shop and were sitting there when came under attack.

Police said they received bullet injuries and died while were being taken to hospital.

The attackers fled.

Police termed the incident an act of targeted killing.

The deceased were identified as Abdullah and Siraj.

Police registered a case and started investigation.
