KOHAT, Jan 9: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) here on Wednesday dismissed bail application of the main accused in a triple murder case of children.

The accused Shakir, who was nominated in a murder case of three minors, was arrested few months after the incident that occurred in Rangarh mohallah on Sept 22, 2012.

A case was registered against Shakir and his brother by uncle of the victims, Javed Iqbal, in cantonment police station. Mr Iqbal had stated that he was going to bazaar with the children when Shakir and his brother opened fire on them. The children, Aqsa Bibi, 4, Mohammad, 4, and Ahmed, 3, died on their way to hospital.

Father of the children had earlier killed brother of the accused.

The court dismissed bail application of Shakir and ordered the police to prepare the charge-sheet for regular hearing of the case. —Correspondent
