QUETTA, Jan 7: Four people were killed and 10 others injured in bomb blasts and firing incidents here on Monday.

According to police sources, a man died when an explosive device planted on a footpath near Sariab Road police station went off. Three people suffered injuries.

The sources said that one Abdullah was killed and three people — Ehsan Reza, Arif Hussain and Latif — were seriously wounded when the car they were travelling in came under fire on Spinny Road.

The victims belonged to the Hazara community and police described the incident as a sectarian attack.

Abdul Qadir was murdered at the Fatimah Jinnah road.

Police said that one Juma Khan was killed on Kuchlak Road over old enmity.

A hand-grenade was hurled into a tea shop on Sariab Road in which two people were wounded.

A bomb exploded in a ground near Jan Mohammad road in which a man and a woman were injured.

The injured were admitted to civil hospital.
