KARACHI: Chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, on Monday said that there might be a delay of a day or two in the ‘political drone attack’, DawnNews reported.

He added that one or two tools were needed to launch the so-called political drone attack.

The required tools would be available in a day or two, the MQM chief said, adding that as per the announcement, everything was ready for the attack.

Early on Sunday, Hussain had asked the nation to be ready for a ‘political drone attack’ from him in the two to three days’ time.

Speaking to members of the party’s Rabita (coordination) Committee via telephone from London, he stated that the announcement, which he referred as a ‘drone strike’, would be unanswerable.

“No one in the country will be able to respond to my drone attack,” he said.

The MQM chief appealed to the public to wait for his move and mentally prepare themselves.

After Pakistan Railways and PIA flights, political drone attacks are also being delayed. So more guessing games and discussions on talk shows. Thousands of more man-hours will be wasted.

Why is this guy in London? Should not leaders be where the people are? Pakistan politics is strange. All leaders have there bases in London

For us, political leaders now have tsunamis, drones and marches. Earlier PPP fired a drone (notice milya kakh na hilaya) on judiciary and he is, now days, only writing columns in newspapers. hope this drone lands safely, somewhere!!!
shuaib Jan 07, 2013 12:26pm
It surely has not taken off. It requires "technical" assurances....good luck chief sahib.
Nadir Shah Durrani Jan 07, 2013 12:22pm
Drone was ready but navigational system developed few glitches.
Mudassir Hussain Jan 07, 2013 10:23am
For some this is something irrelevant and for many this is something quite interesting...hope this does not get delayed further....

Dear Leaders, Pakistan alongwith its entire population is going through a very difficult time. On the one hand Pakistan is confronted with immense domestic problems including law & order situations & on the other hand the sovereignty of the country is being challenged at regular intervals. At this juncture of time will it not be good for the leaders to show maturity and use words cautiously. Political gimmicks have never helped a nation. American drones are enough to handle, should we go in for more drones. Drones are a hated thing in Pakistan be it a missile carrying drone or a telephonic drone. It is better to use a pacifying & not tension giving affirmation

Extremely Poor choice of words. when you use the term 'Drone' it links with death and destruction. I hope Pakistani politician show some maturity while using specific terms.
Latif Khan Jan 07, 2013 02:32pm
He seems to be a leader of MQM but his terminology is not fit for purpose. He is speaking on same line as Imran Khan. Is it not tru?
PAKISTANI Jan 07, 2013 11:07am
The nation is now left for drone attack only, whatever the type.
Ghumman Jan 07, 2013 10:08am
Thanks for these drone attacks.
Tariq Khan Jan 07, 2013 12:38pm
what a cartoon he is as well as whole pak political establishment, sadly a country stepping towards disolvement.
MohammedQureshi Jan 07, 2013 04:17pm
Only speak when you have somenthing to offer. This does not seem like a comment from suppoded to be a leader. It seems more like a children talk.

I thought daily Dawn was a serious paper. News like 'political drone' by supremo is worthy of footpath tabloids , this rubbish should have no place on the pages of Dawn.

Technical team of MQM Rabita Committee of led by Sattar is is on the way to London to remove the glich.
