ATTOCK, Jan 3: The district police have introduced Mobile Complaint Collection (MCC) drop boxes, to collect public complaints, said police officials.

The district police headquarters informed, on Thursday, that MCC boxes have been installed at four main points in Attock city, including Fowarh Chowk, People Colony, Dhoke Fateh Colony and near Truck Adda, to facilitate  residents, who instead of visiting police stations can just register complaints at their convenience, indirectly.

The complaints would be collected daily and will be reported at the complaint cell of district police headquarters for further action, said police officials. Besides, MMC’s riders — officials designated to collect the complaints from the drop boxes — can directly collect complaints from citizens via phone calls, added the official.

The district police officer (DPO) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the MCC system will not only save precious time of residents but will be helpful for police officials to collect information.

Additionally, Rescue 15 is being upgraded with provision of vehicles, weapons and security gadgets to respond instantly to emergency complaints.

The DPO Mr Rizvi has asked the local communities to come forward and extend their maximum support to district police in implementing its public-friendly plans.

OUTLAWS HELD: Meanwhile, the district police have claimed to have arrested 1,932 outlaws, including Court Absconders (CAs) and Proclaimed Offenders (POs), in 2012, along with recovery of arms and drugs.
