KARACHI, Jan 1: Three ships with carbon, steel and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, TS Pusam Framura, Argent Star and Hanjin Montevideo were berthed at the port while Aalborg, Bunga Kantan Dua, Quetta, Clear, Northern Dedication and Wan Hai 603 sailed out.

A cargo volume of 113,778 tons comprising 87,540 tons of import and 26,238 tons of export was handled.The following ships are expected to arrive at the port on Wednesday: Med Nordic with carbon, APL Brisbane with containers and Lotus with steel.

Port Qasim KARACHI: Twelve ships were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Jamima, Maersk Wyoning, Clementina, Marine King, Beautiful Rena, Dogan Bey, Trans Friendship, Sinna-4, Karachi, Global Peace and Kalmon Galaxy were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, rice, wheat, steel coil, LPG Mix, furnace oil and edible oil.

A cargo volume of 109,117 tons comprising 81,378 tons of import and 27,739 tons of export was handled.
