MIRAMSHAH, Jan 1: A civilian worker of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) was killed and four security men were seriously injured when the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a remote-controlled bomb near Matches Camp in Miramshah on Tuesday.
Security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and launched a search operation for those involved.
The injured were taken to hospital where one of them, Saifullah, a civilian worker of the FWO, died.
Later, the political administration imposed a curfew in the area and closed all main roads.
Helicopter gunships shelled suspected militant positions in the Matches Camp area.
