Seminar on road safety

ATTOCK, Dec 27: National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) organised a road safety seminar, titled “Road Safety” on Thursday, at a local hotel, near Faqirabad, Attock.

People from different walks of life participated in the event, especially transporters, students and NH&MP’s officials.

The seminar started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and SSP NH&MP, Saeed Wazir Khan, welcomed the participants and highlighted the different issues of road safety and emphasised the importance of obeying traffic rules.

Later on, guest speakers, including SSP NH&MP Tahir Khan, Mohammad Naeem Khan, Nadeem Raza Khan, Zakir Hayat Khan and Inspector Hafiz Laiq gave presentations and highlighted different aspects of road safety and traffic rules.

Several participants from transport industry, drivers and notables also shared their views and experiences.

On the occasion, Director COMSATS University, Attock campus, Air Commodore (retired) Sherzada Khan said that Road Safety is an important issue and creating awareness is a noble cause.—Correspondent
