QUETTA, Dec 23: Five people, among them a policeman and two Afghan nationals, were killed and another was injured in Quetta and Chaman on Sunday, police sources said.

Unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire on Constable Gulzar Ahmed and his friend, whose name could not be ascertained, on the Quetta-Ziarat road. The policeman, who was posted in Kuchlak, died and his friend was injured.

Two students of a seminary were gunned down in Pashtunabad area. The motive behind the killing of Habibullah and Allahdad could not be ascertained.

Two Afghan nationals were shot dead in the border town of Chaman. They had come from Afghanistan on Saturday and were staying with one Hashim. Police registered a case and took Hashim into custody and started investigation.
