KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over struggling Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match here on Sunday.

NBP’s victory moved them to 34 points while ZTBL remain in the relegation zone on 20 points after the game here at the KPT Football Stadium.

ZTBL shocked NBP when they took an early lead through Iftikhar Ali Khan in the 11th minute and held on to their lead till the end of the first-half after some valiant defending by Mohammad Naveed.

But ZTBL, and Naveed, were finally breached in the 60th minute when Adam Hameed scored from inside the box before playmaker Farooq Shah’s blistering shot in the 79th secured victory for Nasir Ismail’s side.

Monday’s fixtures: KESC v Wohaib FC (KPT Football Stadium, Karachi); Muslim FC v KRL (Government High School Ground, Chaman); HBL v PMC Athletico (People’s Football Stadium, Karachi).—Sports Reporter
