KARACHI, Nov 24: Six ships carrying fertilizer, crude oil and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Owing to delay in the scheduled arrivals, the berthing activity at the wharves was slow where only two ships, MSC Aurora to offload and load containers and Elefthe Rotria to load rice were berthed after the sailing of four.

The ships, which departed were led by MSC Sophie, MOL Sincerity, Khalid Ibn Waleed and Al-Sabiyah, while Rana Queen and Orient Aishwarya are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was light owing to lesser handling of the liquid tonnage, falling to only 27,859 tons comprising 7,656 tons of export cargo including 2,478 tons of rice and 20,203 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Johar, with crude oil, Ernst Rickmers, Hyundai Progress, HSH Kusu, Swat, with containers and Angel Light, with fertilizer.
