An explosion went off in a market in Tehsil Jamrud of Khyber tribal area killing at least 10 people and injuring 42 others on Monday, DawnNews reported. Nearby shops and offices were damaged as a result of the blast. The injured included women and children.

All injured were shifted to the Hayat medical complex where the condition of several injured was reported as critical. Security forces reached the site of attack and cordoned off the area as investigations into the incident went underway. Details regarding the nature and intensity of bomb were not available till the filing of this report. – Photos by AFP
