WITH reference to Naeem Burney’s letter ‘Additives in fuel: advice to PSO’ (Dec 10). Mr Burney is the local agent of an international fuel additive supplier. Therefore, his version is meant to market the additives and promote the improvements these additives could make.

Also, the PSO would like to apprise the readers that the company had recently terminated an agreement with his company and that the matter is in litigation and is sub judice before the court. We would also like to inform our consumers that at the PSO we carry out a comprehensive technical and commercial analysis in order to choose and decide which additives to use and such decisions cannot be enforced by the agents of a supplier.
