PESHAWAR: Dera Ismail Khan’s executive district officer of health, Dr Ashiq Saleem, and two others went missing as they were travelling from Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday night, police and family sources said.

Dr Saleem was on way home to Dera Ismail Khan after attending a meeting in Peshawar.

He was accompanied by his driver Javed and staffer Attaullah when the three went missing in the region of Kohat.

Family members had told the police that Dr Saleem had last contacted them at 8 pm on Tuesday saying they had crossed Darra Adamkhel. After that, calls made to their cellphones could not go through.
