Bad weather frustrates Customs

LAHORE,  Jan 10: Pakistan Customs made a bold declaration in an attempt to gain first innings points in the fog-hit Quaid Trophy Group-III match against Lahore Whites at LCCA Ground on Friday.

Customs, who resumed at 271 for one, closed their innings at 309 for five once the match started an hour after lunch.

By close of play, Lahore Whites were 88 for two with Faisal Javed scoring 40, which was laced with five boundaries.

In other matches of this group, Sajjad-ul-Khan and Shahid Khan helped hosts Sialkot to bowl out Habib Bank for 201 in their first innings at Saga Ground after the complete loss of second day due to bad weather.

Sialkot were 53 for two at the stumps.

At Lahore Country Club in Muridke, the match between Gujranwala and Sheikhupura at last got under way after two blank days.

Gujranwala were 54 for two in the 13 overs bowled.
