HYDERABAD, Jan 10: A noted instrumentalist (Sarangi Nawaz) Ustad Majeed Khan died at the Liaquat University Hospital here on Thursday night.

He was 68 and left behind a widow, seven sons and three daughters.

He was laid to rest in Nana Baba Graveyard, Hala Naka.

Majeed Khan had remained associated with Radio Pakistan, Hyderabad, from 1974 to 1994 and even after his retirement, he had continued to work as a composer and instrumentalist till his death.

He had performed with renowned singers such as Roshan Ara Begum, Ustad Nazakat Ali Khan Salamat Ali Khan, Ustad Hameed Ali Khan, Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan, Ustad Mohammad Jumman and Ustad Mohammad Ibrahim.
