Superb century by Tariq

KARACHI, Nov 23: A splendid knock of 107 runs by Tariq Alam, enabled Citibank outclass Lever Brothers by 79 runs Friday in the AKU Ramazan Colour Kit cricket tournament played at the AKU ground.

Citibank batting first raced to 238 for 2 in the stipulated 22 overs. Apart from Tariq’s century, Waqar Baig scored (42 n.o.) and Qamar Aslam (30).

Lever Brothers in reply could only notch up 159 runs in 18.3 overs. Shahzad Alam top scored with 59 runs. Kashif Ahmed also batted well for his 48 runs.

Basil Joseph (3-25) was the pick of the bowling. Aziz-ur- Rehman (3-38), Waqar Baig (2-16) and M. Khalid (2-17), also got amongst the wickets.
