LAHORE, Dec 6: PPP’s rebel couple Nahid Khan and Safdar Abbasi announced on Thursday the launching of a movement within the party to bring all ideological workers on one platform.

Nahid Khan has been appointed coordinator of the “Bhutto Shaheed Benazir Workers Movement.” She will form coordination committees across the country during her visit.

PPP MNA from Balochistan Nasir Shah also announced joining hands with the couple in their struggle.

The couple made the announcement at a large gathering at Awan-i-Iqbal in connection with the PPP’s Foundation Day.

Nahid Khan said the ideological workers would liberate the PPP from those who had hijacked it. She said the present leadership of the party had completely ignored the diehard workers and time had come to save the party of Shaheed Bhutto.

“The time to remain silent is over. The ideological workers will have to come out to get their right and save the ideology of Z.A.

Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. I declare war on those who have taken the PPP hostage,” Ms Khan said, asking the government to expose the murderers of Benazir Bhutto.

She said the couple had decided to launch the movement after seeing the PPP government’s failure to nab the killers of BB.

Safdar Abbasi said they would continue struggle to liberate the party from the clutches of ‘non-jiyalas’. He said they would restore the respect of the ideological workers in the party of Bhuttos.

MNA Nasir Shah, former senator Sardar Salim, Abdul Qadir Shaheen, Sardar Hur Bokhari and Ghulam Qadir Bhutto also spoke.
