PESHAWAR, Jan 9: The Federal Minister for Water and Power, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, will inaugurate electricity supply from Chashma power plant to D.I.Khan on Saturday, says a press release of Peshawar Electricity Supply Corporation (Pesco).

The project of laying of transmission line for proper electricity supply to D.I.Khan from Chashma power plant has been completed and will be inaugurated by the federal minister, the press release adds.

At present, D.I.Khan and adjoining localities are getting electricity from Kot Addu transmission line and after initiation of power supply from Chashma another source of electricity supply to D.I.Khan would be added.

The inauguration ceremony will also be attended by Water and Power Development Authority Chairman Lt-Gen Zulfiqar Ali Khan (retired) and Pesco Chief Executive Brig Tahir Saeed Malik.—APP
