LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Monday said the issue of building Kalabagh dam should be resolved with complete consensus among all stakeholders, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to a public gathering on the occasion of inducting former federal minister Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti into his party’s folds in Mardan, he reiterated his resolve to rid Pakistan of problems if the PML-N gets another chance of ruling the country.

Hoti had joined Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) last year after parting ways with the Awami National Party (ANP).

The situation is getting worse everyday, said Nawaz Sharif, adding that the country was facing challenges at every front.

Reminiscing affluences during his rule, the PML-N chief said the country was prospering during his tenure as prime minister on both counts.

Sharif claimed that his party has manifesto of serving the masses. He vowed to put the country back on track of growth if given the rule again.

Expressing his grief on current law and order situation of the country, Sharif said unrest and violence prevail in Balochistan, Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi these days. He blamed the government for failing to avert lawlessness.

The former prime minister urged the nation to exercise their right of vote with care as, he said, the public holds power to change destiny of the country. “Vote for Muslim League (PML-N) if you think there is truth in my determination,” he said.
