KARACHI: A fire that broke out in the State Life building on Zaibunnisa Street in Karachi's Saddar area on Wednesday was brought under control by the fire department, DawnNews reported.

Many people were reportedly stuck in the building and emergency teams were making efforts for evacuation.

One person jumped from the building in order to escape the fire and later succumbed to his wounds at a nearby hospital.
