The Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, on Monday appeared before the commission constituted by Islamabad High Court (IHC) to investigate alleged corruption in mega projects of the CDA.

Although the civic agency is considering challenging its formation, the CDA chairman briefed the commission, headed by former judge of the Supreme Court Justice (retired) Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan, about Monal Restaurant.

The commission during its proceedings at the IHC building on Monday decided to investigate five mega projects in the first phase of three-month-long investigation.
