Mohsin register impressive win

KARACHI, Jan 6: Mohsin’s foursome comprising Mohsin Chandna, Tariq Rasheed Khan, Gulzar Bilal and Amin Hakeem registered another impressive win on Sunday when they outscored other thirteen rivals to win the weekly title of Swiss Movement Bridge.

Mohsin scored 84 Victory Points winning three matches.

A poor start saw Mohsin lost against Strikers by three IMPs, However, they bounced back to whip Rizwan 24-6, Dr.Ilyas 21-09 and finally 25-5 from Jamal, winning by 59 IMPs.

Strikers comprising S.M. Ozair, Commander Sami, Nuri Pasha and Anwer Kizilbash finished in second spot,

Earlier in the Pairs coontest, 23 pairs participated. Competing from North-south direction, Ziaullah Baig - Shahat Saeed topped with a very impressive score of 09.30 percent, exhibiting their excellent command over dummy play and bidding.

The veteran pair of M.G. Siddiqui-S.P. Jamal scored 60.56 percent for the second position, followed by Irfan Khan-Mahmood Naqvi 58.52 percent.—APP
