KARACHI, Nov. 23: The City Government has directed the concerned agencies to complete all under-construction projects in Malir town according to schedule.

A decision to this effect was taken when the Army Coordination Team, along with Nazim of Malir Town and DCO of Karachi, reviewed the progress of various projects being undertaken under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme in Malir.

These projects included improvement of Bakra Piri Road at a cost of Rs14 million and construction of other roads at a cost of Rs1.6 million.

During a visit to Jinnah Square Road improvement project, the team directed the concerned agencies to complete the project by Dec 15. The team asked the town administration to ensure cleanliness and greenery on both sides of the road.

The team also reviewed the work progress on project of Bakra Piri Road Improvement and installation of sewerage lines.

Earlier, in a meeting to review progress on Khushhal Pakistan Programme, it was informed that all the development projects would be initiated and completed in consultation with elected representatives.

The meeting was informed that Khushal Pakistan Programme projects in Malir area include construction and renovation of seven roads, laying of three sewerage lines and extension of five rooms in a school.

DCO and members of army monitoring team, including Brig Ayaz and Brig Haider Abbas also discussed the matter with the area people.

During the meeting DCO Karachi emphasised that all projects must be completed in time and directed the officials to ensure the quality of work. APP/PPI
