LAHORE, Nov 23: The Pakistan Telecom Employees Union has urged the PTCL management to treat the daily wagers at par with those employed on contract and grant them Eid allowance on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

Addressing a union meeting here, its central secretary-general Rana Tahir said the contract employees had been entitled to get the Eid allowance and added that there was every justification for the daily wagers to be treated as such.

The management should also be generous in the case of daily wagers and provided them the facility so that they and their families could be able to celebrate Eid with fervour. — Reporter
