KARACHI, Jan 6: Officials in the Sindh government has clarified that no decision had been taken with regard to the distribution of katcha land in certain districts of the province as appeared in a section of press on Tuesday.

Official sources said that as for the 1.849 million acre land in question, a PC-II had been cleared by the Planning and Development Department for the purpose of carrying out baseline study so as to develop these areas.

“Distribution of the said land among farmers has not been contemplated at this stage,” the sources said.—APP
