KARACHI, Nov 9: Police on Friday registered a first information report against unidentified persons in connection with the the Thursday morning blast at the Rangers compound in North Nazimabad.

At least three Rangers personnel were killed and over a dozen others were wounded in the attack on the Sachal Rangers Headquarters.

The FIR (503/2012) was registered at the North Nazimabad police station under Section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act, 3/4 of Explosives Act, and 302, 324-34 and 427 of the penal code on a complaint of Rangers DSR Zakria.

Meanwhile, the chief minister announced compensation of Rs2 million each for the heirs of the three personnel of Rangers.—Our Staff Reporter
